The FlexiSpot E7 has long been my top-rated pick when it comes to standing desks, balancing build quality, stability, features, and price. In our Flexispot E7 review, it earned 5 stars and we found it sturdy, functional, practical for most workspaces since it's relatively noiseless in operation. I've listed the price for the frame and cheapest desktop, but other materials are available. Height ranges between 58cm and 123cm.

FlexiSpot's budget version of the E7 is the dual-motor E5, and features 3 programmable heights and all the core features you'd need - but better still, this deal includes a cable management tray. This is one of the best we’ve tested (check out our review here) and my top-rated choice for ergonomics. The Vari Electric Standing Desk with ComfortEdge is smartly designed and - as the name suggests - comfortable to use thanks to the ergonomic, softened front edge. Build quality is excellent, as you’d expect from a premium desk. Height range is a very wide 25 to 50.5in.

This is a streamlined version of Vari’s beautiful standing desk - but don’t let that fool you. While it’s cheaper and less feature-filled, this is still an excellent option for those that want a stable, well-constructed sit-stand desk. During our own testing (read our review here), we found it quick and relatively quiet in operation, and very well built for the price. Available in hazel, black, and white colorways.

Want to luxury of sitting and standing at work without a full-sized standing desk? A standing desk converter is the answer. Think of it as a height adjustable laptop or monitor stand. Featuring a set of double drawers, this is a great electric standing desk for those searching for more storage space. It’s an issue a lot of standing desk users face, so we’re impressed to see two neatly fitted under the tabletop here. And they’re wooden, too, unlike many with cheaper fabric drawers. The desk itself hits heights between 28 to 47in, with an admittedly low two-memory preset. Apply the coupon on the page.

For this price, there's a lot to like about the 48in Claiks standing desk. We especially like the traditional, rustic wood finish, and if 48in is too large for your workspace, it also comes in several different sizes. You'll find storage hooks to the side, too, making it an impressive and affordable all-rounder. It's a Prime member discount.

Quiet in operation, this two-legged desk is ideal for either the home or office, featuring a slim drawer for storage and a height range of 28 - 47.8in. Available in multiple tabletop sizes. The original Standing Desk is also discounted, but I’d recommend the Duo over the OG.

I generally recommend electric standing desks because they’re a lot easier and faster to use. But if you’re looking for a manual variant on wheels, this hand-cranked office desk is a smart, compact model that comes with two shelves under the tabletop. There’s also two USB and two AC ports. Which means, plug it in and you can then use it as, effectively, a very large and practical power strip. It's a Prime exclusive price.

This is steal for any standing desk, let alone one with a massive 55" surface space, memory presets, wooden finish options and a durable motor with sturdy, t-shaped feet. Other standing desks look a little more stylish, but that's a compromise with accepting when the Furmax unit is so affordable.

Slightly more expensive than the Agilestic above (which is the same size). However, I personally prefer the design of this standing desk. It features two drawers nestled beneath an arched monitor shelf, and compatible with C-clamps for supporting a monitor (and giving you more tabletop space). I’ve selected the 48x24in desk here, which should be suitable for most people. If you need more desktop space, a 55x26in model is available. It's a Prime exclusive.

Black Friday standing desk deals: Buying advice
When does Black Friday and Cyber Monday start and when does it end?
Black Friday officially kicks off on November 28, followed by Cyber Monday on December 1.
However, expect early deals like the ones above to keep filtering through, and look out for retailers like Best Buy and FlexiSpot launching early Black Friday or Halloween sales if you want to beat the sales rush.
What's the best height range for my height?
For best results with a standing desk, you want to be able to stand up straight with your arms in a 90-degree L-shaped position on the desk - and no hunching over.
To find the right fit, measure from your feet to the crook of your elbow - this will help you decide what the maximum height your desk needs to be set to.
With that in mind, I've created a table to help you identify the best desk height range for your height.
User height | Desk height |
|---|---|
Under 5'4" | 23 - 42in (58 - 107cm) |
Between 5'4" and 6' | 25 - 47in (63 - 119cm) |
Over 6' | 28 - 51in or above (71 - 130cm or above) |
How do I choose the right standing desk deal for Black Friday?
These are the specs I recommend checking before buying a standing desk during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Height range
This determines how high (or low) the desk can go. I've listed the best height ranges above for petite, average, and taller users. Generally, I see standing desks spanning 28in to 48in. However, the Secretlab Magnus Pro hits just over 49in, and Vari's range tops out at 50.5in, which is one of the tallest I've ever seen.
Desktop size
Measure up before committing to the purchase. Most desk-makers offer a range of desktop sizes starting from 40x24in (100x60cm). The smallest full-sized desk I've seen, suitable for laptops and keyboards, is 32in. For a more premium build, check out the 36in Branch Duo. It's my top choice for smaller spaces.
Single board vs splice board
Go for a single-board standing desk. This means the desktop comes as a single piece that's far more stable than a weaker two-piece (or splice board) desktop. I usually only see splice board desks at the ultra-budget end of the market, and I recommend avoiding them unless you have to.
Motors
Most mid-range and premium standing desks (and certain budget models from FlexiSpot) feature a dual-motor. This makes them quicker and smoother to lift or lower, increase lifting capacity, improve stability, and remain quiet in use. Lower-priced standing desks will usually only have a single motor, and the reverse is true - they're less stable, noisier, can't lift as much, and can't do it smoothly. For that reason, I'd recommend choosing a deal with dual motors.
Watch out for manual standing desks - ideal if you're using it away from a mains outlet, but require more energy to crank up to full height compared to electric standing desks.
Weight load capacity
This tells you how much you can place on the desk and it still functions. In my view, the higher the weight load (or weight limit), the better. Especially if you're loading up the desk with laptops, mobile devices, and multiple monitors. In some cases, the weight limit may differ when the desk is at a standstill and when it's in motion.
Quiet operation
Almost every standing desk deal here has a sub-50 decibel noise level when in use, which is an audible but quiet whir that's suitable for shared workspaces.
Memory presets
I love standing desks with two or more memory presets. You program a set height for sitting and one for standing, then at a touch of the button it will automatically lower or lift to that height. It takes all the time and guesswork out of adjusting the height of the desk every time you switch from sitting to standing. Most modern electric standing desks feature these programmable keypads. Budget ranges usually feature two, while mid-range and premium desks have three or four presets.
Key features
Beyond the above, key features to check for are: programmable keypad and anti-collision detection - which you'll find on most standing desk deals. Cable management trays are always welcome, but they're often only available separately, rather than included with the desk. If cable management is important, I recommend desk ranges from Ergonofis and Secretlab., which have built-in cable storage.
Price and value
Cheaper standing desks may be low in price, but I don't find they offer good long-term value. Build quality is lower, feature-sets are small, and stability is lower. And warranty length is also generally just one or two years.
If possible, opt for a standing desk deal from a known brand. My team and I have reviewed a wide range of desks from well-known manufacturers that deliver everything you'll want during the Black Friday sales.
At the budget and mid-range end, look for desks from makers like FlexiSpot, Fezibo, Autonomous, Maidesite, and Uplift. For premium standing desk deals, Vari, Branch, Herman Miller, Secretlab, Ergonofis, and Friska are all excellent investments.
