Proton VPN's limited Black Friday deal has dropped a whole month early
A two-year Proton VPN Plus subscription is now just $2.49 a month
Proton VPN has dropped its price by a massive 75% in the run-up to Black Friday this year, with prices as low as $2.49 a month for a two-year Proton VPN Plus subscription — a huge drop from $3.59.
It's by far the lowest price we've seen this year and similar only — though still cheaper than — its price during the company's 2024 Black Friday sale.
Saving $1.10 a month might not sound like a huge amount but over a 24 month contract, you're looking at saving almost $30 in total.
Proton VPN is one of the best on the market. It has servers in more countries than almost any other VPN, a bunch of advanced security features, and consistently good speeds.
What's more, the team behind the app are genuine privacy advocates, so you can feel confident that your money is going to support a company that genuinely cares about people's privacy worldwide.

What's included in Proton VPN's Black Friday Deal?
The free version of Proton VPN is well known, and for good reason. It gives you unlimited data and some pretty good speeds, but it also has some real limitations.
Most importantly, you can't choose which of its 10 server locations to connect to, which means you can't choose the fastest servers or control what content you want to unblock.
With Proton VPN Plus, you get access to over 15,000 servers in 126 countries. And, thanks to the VPN Accelerator, the servers are capable of speeds up to 10 Gbps.
Other advanced features include one-click access to Tor, P2P downloading and file sharing, and Netshield — Proton VPN's malware, ad, and tracker blocking software.
Proton's strict no-logs policy has been verified by several independent audits, it uses advanced AES-256 encryption on OpenVPN connections, and employs full-disk encryption on all of its servers. All that's to say — your data is incredibly secure with Proton.
Even better, the company is constantly updating its features. In its most recent 2025 autumn/winter roadmap, Proton told users to expect far better speeds thanks to a new, in-house VPN architecture. It means Proton VPN should soon support post-quantum encryption and other advanced capabilities.
These features are more than enough for even the most privacy-conscious person. Just remember, the plan is paid up front, so expect to pay around $60 for two years of access.
