Saddle up, TV fans, because Ponies, Peacock's next spy thriller series, is almost here.
Set in the 1970s, it stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) as Bea and Twila, who work as secretaries for the US embassy in Moscow. However, when their husbands are killed in mysterious circumstances, Bea and Twila defy their superiors to go undercover and discover the truth. Long story short: espionage-based hijinks ensue.
Sound fun to you? You'll want to know when it'll be released and where you can watch it. Below, I've rounded up all of the key details you need to know about Ponies – so, go on, gallop on to learn more!
What is the release date and launch time for Ponies?
Ponies will make its debut on Thursday, January 15 in North and South America. Viewers living in other continents will have to tune in a day later – Friday, January 16 – to watch it. Per the official Peacock blog, all eight of its episodes will drop simultaneously on launch day, too.
As for the time it'll launch, that depends on the day that this new Peacock TV Original is released. Considering Ponies will drop this Thursday evening, I predict its first chapter will air at 6pm PT / 9pm ET. That's the same time that The Traitors season 4 premiered on Peacock last Thursday (January 8), so there's no reason to suspect that Ponies won't do the same.
If the aforementioned release times are correct, here's when Ponies episode 1 will be released where you live:
- US – Thursday, January 15 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET
- Canada – Thursday, January 15 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET
- India – Friday, January 16 at 7:30am IST
- Australia – Friday, January 16 at 1pm AEDT
- New Zealand – Friday, January 16 at 3pm NZDT
Where can I watch Ponies?
If it wasn't clear by now, Ponies will be available to watch on Peacock, aka one of the world's best streaming services.
Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.
Don't fret if Peacock hasn't launched in the country you reside in, though, because it's also coming to a number of other streaming platforms. Here's where you'll be able to stream it:
- US – Peacock
- Canada – Showcase
- India – JioHotstar
- Australia – Foxtel/Binge
- New Zealand – TVNZ+
Why can't I watch Ponies in the UK?
If it wasn't apparent by now, there's a distinct lack of information about when and where Ponies can be streamed on British shores.
Usually, Peacock shows air on Sky and Now TV in the UK. Considering other Peacock TV Originals, including The Day of the Jackal, Ted, and The Paper, premiered on these platforms, it's a safe bet that Ponies will do likewise.
There are a few caveats, though. For one, season 2 of Twisted Metal – one of Peacock's biggest TV hits – launched on Paramount+ in the UK. Meanwhile, another Peacock spy thriller in The Copenhagen Test isn't due out on British shores until early 2026. It's been available to watch on NBCUniversal's streamer since December 27, 2025.
So, when will Ponies come out in the UK? At the time of publication, there's no official word on when British viewers can catch it and what platform(s) it'll be released on. It isn't part of Sky's January 2026 release slate, so Ponies certainly won't arrive at the same time as it does in other countries.
Once I hear more about a UK release date, I'll update this section. For now, we're none the wiser about when Ponies will drop on British shores.
